Ayurveda (pronounced ah-yer-vey-duh) is an ancient system of self-healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Also known as the sister science of yoga, Ayurveda means “knowledge of life”. With Ayurveda, the individual learns what their body naturally needs and how to align their life with their own true nature. Ayurveda teaches us how to better respond to the stresses of everyday life. Through self-care, movement, and food choices, we can guide ourselves back into balance and an optimal state of wellness.
